As part of Alexandria Shipyard’s ongoing development and capacity enhancement efforts, the 6,000-ton floating dock has officially commenced operations.
The dock measures 150 meters in length, with an internal width of 24 meters and an external width of 30 meters.
It’s worth mentioning that the dock underwent a comprehensive refurbishment carried out entirely by Alexandria Shipyard. It successfully passed all the required tests, and initiated its activity with the docking of the vessel “Manassa M” on June 26, 2025. The vessel measures 103.5 meters in length and 16.24 meters in width.

This floating dock is considered a significant boost to Alexandria Shipyard’s repair capabilities, in addition to the two existing dry docks. It enables the shipyard to increase its capacity for vessel maintenance and repair across a wider range of ship types, further strengthening its position as a regional leader in marine services
