Chief of Staff of the French Navy visits Alexandria Shipyard.

Admiral Ashraf Attwa, Cheif of the Egyptian Navy, has met with Admiral Nekola Fogor, Chief of Staff of the French Navy, and his accompanying delegation during their official visit to Alexandria Shipyard.

They were received by Rear Admiral Hossam El-Din Ezzat Kotb, Chairman of Alexandria Shipyard, and Rear Admiral Ihab Salah, Director General of the Maritime Industries and Services Organization (MIASO).

The delegation inspected ongoing projects at the shipyard, including Navy frigate and various types of tugboats with capabilities up to 200 tons of bollard pull, as well as the GRP Fast interceptor patrol boat, the fastest in the Egyptian Navy with an impressive speed of 56 knots. The visit also included a tour of the production workshops and shipbuilding facilities, followed by a brief presentation on the company’s capabilities and expertise, highlighting its status as the largest industrial stronghold in shipbuilding, and repair in Egypt and the Middle East.

Admiral Nekola Fogor emphasized the deep partnership and bilateral cooperation in marine industry between the two friendly nations. This visit underscores the distinguished military ties that unite the Egyptian and French navies in the field of joint military manufacturing.

The visit concluded with the exchange of commemorative gifts between the two sides and the inscription of a few memorable words in the company’s guestbook.
