Knowing that knowledge is power , ASY is continuously striving to improve workforce qualification and update their knowledge to meet the different standard workers qualification requirement where their skills are developed with more practice within the shipyard workshops in all shipbuilding trades. the training focus on the essential trades used in ASY (welding , assembly , electric , machinery installation , piping , GRP , ….etc ) through a various basic and professional training courses taught locally the center aims to deliver, explain & illustrate training courses in the said trades subjects by highly qualified & experienced engineer lecturers together with adequate experienced practical trainers using the facilities and the well-equipped workshops and class rooms of the training center & abroad mostly with the collaboration of our foreign partners in (Russia ,China , France , Hungary and Germany ) The training center accepts students who have obtained the general preparatory certificate and its equivalents after passing the acceptance and the medical fitness tests The duration of the study is three years after which the student receives a technical ship building diploma / training center equivalent to the diploma of industrial secondary schools In accordance with the decree of the Minister of Education No. (100) of 1968 50 groups of workforce of various professions each have been annually graduated from the training center up till now, supported by the on job practical training in the various workshops of the shipyard and supervised by the experienced foremen and well educated and trained engineers The Center contributes to the community service by training the technical workers of different factories and companies according to the available specialties as per the different standard requirements
